I've never been bitten by a reptile yet, although a few snakes have hissed at me. My Northern Pine Snake was notorious for striking while in the enclosure, but quickly settled down once in my hands.

I have been bitten by many many reptiles. Doing rescue, I end up with alot of abused, misstreated and just plain angry animals. I would say the worst three bites were iguana, 17 foot burmese python and a rattler. Other things I have been bitten or stung by include. Stingray,sculpin, shark, tarantula, scorpion, monitor lizards, lots of small lizards, boas, pythons, small snakes, and a few other things.
Wow! That's a lot of pain. I'm interested in knowing the extent of damage from your worst three bites (especially the rattler and burm).

I guess It depends on your definition of "Often" I've been bitten quite often by my Ball Pythons.
I've learned to use caution and try to keep an eye on the ones that are aggressive, you have to be fast but to be honest there faster then I am LOL...
When I got my first reptile it was an untaim 5 foot iguana she bit me on the face that,was the worst my baby jcp got me a few times when I first got her

Went to the local Pet shop. They just got in a 3 week old Pastel Ball python, for 200 dollars, lol. They warned me it was aggressive, so, I took it out. The little devil tagged me 3 times. lol. It didn't even break the skin.
